THE ROOSEVELT ELEMENTARY PTA WAS ESTABLISHED SOLELY TO SUPPORT ROOSEVELT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, WHICH IS PART OF THE NORMAN PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM AND SERVES APPROXIMATELY 592 STUDENTS. THE PTA PLAYS A CRUCIAL ROLE IN SUPPLEMENTING STATE FUNDING BY OFFERING VARIOUS FORMS OF ASSISTANCE, INCLUDING SUPPORT FOR MUSIC, ART, AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS THE LIBRARY. ADDITIONALLY, IT HELPS REIMBURSE TEACHERS FOR OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES AND ALLOCATES FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE AND MAINTENANCE OF PLAYGROUND AND TECHNOLOGICAL EQUIPMENT. THE PTA ALSO CONTRIBUTES TO SPECIALIZED CURRICULUM INITIATIVES AND STUDENT ACTIVITIES.
