On Sunday, May 11, celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Noguchi Museum with a full day of activities, including multilingual public tours, art-making in the galleries, and a taiko drumming performance. Advance reservations are recommended, but not required. Events Schedule: 11 am–12 pm: Public Tour in English An introduction to the life and vision of Isamu Noguchi, exploring highlights in ‘Against Time: The Noguchi Museum 40th Anniversary Reinstallation.’ 12–3 pm: Gallery Kit Visitors of all ages are invited to pick up art-making materials from our educators and explore Isamu Noguchi’s vision of the Museum as a place for community and reflection. 2–3 pm: Public Tours in English and Spanish 3–4 pm: Public Tour in Japanese 4–4:30 pm: Taiko Drumming Performance Using the resonant pulse of taiko drums, Barbara Merjan and Fumi Tanakadate of the Kaoru Watanabe Taiko Center offer a musical journey through the shifting moods of spring.
