The Washington West Film Festival, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was formed in 2011 on the belief that story can change the world. President and Founder, Brad Russell, a native Northern Virginian, launched an area film festival culminated with an inaugural event featuring 23 films in November 2011 in Reston, Virginia. In only three short years, the Washington West Film Festival has introduced the world to some of its favorite new films and garnered the attention of some of Hollywood's biggest names. Washington West has emerged as a major up-and-coming film festival and is anticipating unprecedented growth.
