One of the most common disabilities disclosed to our social services team is PTSD. At The Landing MN, we recognize that many of our guests have experienced deep trauma and are often in crisis during their time of homelessness. . While we lead with compassion and understanding, we also have clear rules in place — not to punish, but to protect. Our rules are posted throughout the day center, and they are there to ensure the safety of everyone: guests, staff, and the broader community. ❤️ . In cases where rules are broken, especially when it involves violence or threats of violence, we take it very seriously. Depending on the situation, consequences can range from a 1-day restriction to permanent removal from the premises. Our mission is to keep The Landing MN a safe, trauma-informed space for healing and support. . One of our core values is grace. We believe in second chances, growth, and the power of learning from mistakes. That said — grace doesn’t mean a free pass. Accountability still matters. It’s about holding space for both compassion and responsibility. . All of our staff receive de-escalation training and are prepared to respond to emergencies with care and professionalism.
