The Indiana Literacy Association was established to support the volunteer programs in their mission to improve the literacy levels of adults in Indiana. The Indiana Literacy Association (ILA) is a non-profit organization established in 2005 to improve access to literacy and basic skills education. The ILA provides professional development and networking opportunities for literacy volunteers and organizations that serve adult and family literacy clients in Indiana. The ILA strengthens literacy services for Indiana adults by providing professional development and networking opportunities for the individuals and organizations that provide vital services for adults who are struggling with the burden of illiteracy.
