Our mission is to stop suicides in the Warrior Community. We do that by: a) Conducting Crisis Intervention. b) Providing Individual, Group, Family, and Marriage Counseling; at no cost to warriors and their dependents. c) Training individuals to intervene when suicidal behaviors are evident. d) Educating people about the Warrior Culture and how that culture effects the rate of veteran suicide. e) Providing opportunities for Veterans and their families to engage in networking, growth and recreational activities which develop connection, purpose, and hope;

Valhalla Veterans Services

Valhalla Veterans Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting veterans, active service members, reservists, National Guard, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMTs, along with their families. The organization operates in northeastern Pennsylvania and aims to prevent suicides within the warrior community by offering connection, purpose, and hope.

Mission

Valhalla Veterans Services is committed to stopping suicides among those who have served in various capacities, including the military and first responders. To achieve this mission, the organization conducts crisis interventions and provides both individual and group counseling services.

Vision and Philosophy

Valhalla's approach emphasizes the importance of cultural factors in addressing veteran suicide, suggesting that the issue is as much about cultural challenges as it is about mental health. This perspective underscores the need for community and shared values among those who have served.

Services

Valhalla provides counseling services specifically tailored for warriors. Their counselors are clinically trained and have a background in the military or deep involvement with military culture. This allows them to offer support that is well-suited to the unique challenges faced by veterans and first responders.

Impact

By focusing on supporting those who run toward danger when others run away, Valhalla helps bridge gaps in mental health care and social support. The organization encourages warriors to reach out when struggling and emphasizes the importance of seeking help without shame.

Funding

Valhalla Veterans Services relies on donations to support its mission and services. Public support is crucial for the organization to continue providing vital interventions and counseling to its target community.
