To alleviate poverty, encourage self-sufficiency, and promote the dignity of all. Family Service Association was founded in 1898 and has continuously provided services to low-income and homeless families for over 123 years. Our mission was, and still is: "To alleviate poverty, encourage self-sufficiency and promote the dignity of all people." This tradition continues today with programs that provide emergency support, case management, education and referral that focus on helping families become more self-sufficient.
