Below are the primary benefits we offer to the families of our fallen heroes OUR MISSION The Gold Shield Foundation of North Carolina is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization based in WinstonSalem North Carolina. The foundation was founded in 2019 to assist the families of North Carolinas fallen and critically injured first responders in times of greatest need. Foundation operations are funded entirely by charitable contributions from concerned citizens and corporations and does not receive government funding.
