International student athletes forge new paths and experiences at SBCC. Maximilian Dollhopf is one of three international students who were recently highlighted in @thechannels as an international student athlete. The 21-year-old engineering major came to Santa Barbara City College to pursue his football career at a highly ranked college. Dollhopf hails from Dettenhausen, Germany, and used to play soccer first. Student athlete sports in the U.S. differ from the German experience as sport and school aren't separated here, which helps manage the daily academic and athletic demands and schedules.
