Camping, connections, and confidence for children in foster care. Outdoor adventures, summer camp, and year-round programs for kids in California foster care. Happy Trails for Kids exclusively serves youth in foster care by creating opportunities for children to develop their skills, interests, and relationships through meaningful extracurricular participation. Our programming is focused on providing opportunities to experience outdoor adventures and nature through our overnight summer and winter camp initiatives and reinforcing our committment to campers by providing monthly educational and recreational engagements called "reunion events" where children are reunited with their peers and have an opportunity to strengthen their relationships with their camp counselors, many of whom are former foster youth.

Happy Trails for Kids GREAT NEWS TO SHARE. On January 14 2025 the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a 135acre deed for us to restore a permanent property in Acton California. This location will serve as a model campus for children in foster care to experience overnight camps as well as yearround recreational and educational programming. As we embark on this next phase we are launching a significant capital campaign.
