SPREAD THE GOSPEL THROUGH MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES
Jeff Copenhaver Ministries
Jeff Copenhaver Ministries is a U.S. nonprofit organization founded by Jeff and Sherry Copenhaver. It is dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, particularly within the western and rodeo communities. The organization has over thirty years of experience in evangelism.
Founding and Early Activities
Jeff and Sherry Copenhaver played a pivotal role in establishing the first weekly "Cowboy Church" at Billy Bob's Texas in the Fort Worth Stockyards in 1986. This initiative aimed to reach out to the western world and rodeo community with the message of Jesus Christ. The Copenhavers, themselves having a background in rodeo, leveraged their connections to create a unique venue where people from these communities could hear the Gospel.
Notable Initiatives
- Master's Championships: In 2001, the organization started the Master's Championships, a Christian youth rodeo association that aimed to introduce young people to the Lord and help them become champions in both spiritual and physical aspects. Events included girls' breakaway, boys' tie-down, barrel racing, and team roping across several states and Canada.
- God Wants You To Win: Jeff Copenhaver authored a devotional titled "God Wants You To Win," which has been widely distributed. Over 800,000 copies have been printed and distributed worldwide. The devotional shares personal stories and encourages readers to become the champions God intends them to be.
Outreach and Impact
The ministry has gained recognition for its innovative approach to evangelism, particularly through distributing free devotionals to various groups, including youth in rural America and participants at major rodeo events like the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
Financial Overview
As of recent financial reports, the organization has managed its operations with modest revenue and expenses, maintaining a balance between outreach activities and organizational stability.
Jeff Copenhaver Ministries continues to be a significant presence in spreading the Gospel to niche communities, relying on the support of its partners and donors to continue its mission.
