AboutKidz | Welcome Our Story AboutKidz was established in 2010 when a small group of volunteers wanted to make a difference in the lives of atrisk and lowincome elementary aged children in our local community. We wanted to implement programs that met their practical needs but we also wanted to make them feel welcomed cared for encouraged and supported. We wanted to connect with the kids and their caregivers on a personal and emotional level. During our first year we helped 125 children have a successful first day of school when we gave them backpacks filled with school supplies.
