Kidneys For Kids advocates nationwide to recruit living kidney donors for children. We also provide financial assistance to families for costs not covered. Kidneys For Kids is a Michigan non-profit, "Saving Children's Lives One Kidney at a Time". Kidneys For Kids purpose and mission, is to give assistance to families with a child who has kidney disease, or needs a kidney transplant. Kidneys For Kids will reimburse families for costs of their child’s kidney treatment, prescription costs, costs of special foods or therapies, or transplant costs which are not covered by insurance such as lodging, meals or transportation costs. Reimbursement will be limited to amounts of $1000 or less per family per year. There is no income limit to qualify for a micro-grant from Kidneys For Kids. Kidneys For Kids will also provide financial assistance in the same manner, for adults in Michigan. And Kidneys for Kids advocates nationally to recruit living kidney donors for children, with the support of network television stories.
