The Friends of the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization located in Waynesboro, Virginia. With the priority of funding medical and behavioral care for the shelter animals, the Friends join in Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center's effort to help lost and abandoned animals in our community and ensure every shelter pet is offered the best opportunity to find and remain in a loving forever home.

Home - Friends of Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center Home Often the only thing standing between an abandoned shelter animal and a loving family is medical care In 2019 a group of likeminded Augusta County Virginia residents joined forces to help the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center municipal shelter ensure animals were adoptionready. The municipal budget covers spayneuter vaccinations limited onsite veterinary assessments and extreme emergency care. Animals requiring other medical care such as tumor removal cancer heart worm or skin treatments were at high risk. FOSVASC has provided medical funding to over 500 shelter and community animals with medical challenges and successfully expanded to include a community pet food pantry and other petretention services.
