PREVENTION PREDICTION PREPAREDNESS What We Do Prevention The Foundation funds research focused on the cause diagnosis and potential prevention of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy HCM through The David Heller Center for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at the Providence Heart Institute. Learn more Prediction We sponsor and facilitate teen athlete cardiac screening events to alert youth and their families of heart abnormalities and educate the public on the importance of screening to detect conditions such as HCM the most common cause of sudden death in athletes. Learn more Preparedness The Foundation purchases donates and distributes portable Automated External Defibrillators AEDs to schools and sports teams and organizations throughout the region to ensure easy access and fast response if an emergency arises on the field on the bus or in the gym.
