Human Is Kind
Human is Kind was created to support raising girls and women in at risk communities. Human is Kind works with Eastern African locals to provide general and reproductive health education and support services that seek to educate and promote literacy. We know that the root cause of poverty is unequal access to education for girls. We also know that, in order to break the cycle of unequal access to education, we must provide a safe and comprehensive program aimed at menstrual and reproductive health. We, at Human is Kind, work closely with the Obunga community in Kisumu, Kenya, to provide its most at risk girls not only with the aforementioned, but also with an informal academic education focused on marketable skills, self-esteem, and community leadership. In addition, we provide free menstrual supplies, clean drinking water, a daily snack, clinic visits, and free access to school supplies. Our US team is volunteer based only with our only paid staff being Kenyan professionals with experience working in this delicate community.
