Drill Night Fun On Tuesday May 27th members of the CHVFC went out to train. Members went and set up a fill site out on county route 111 at the dry hydrant . Now this dry hydrant is one of the 4 hydrants in the Coeymans Hollow Fire District. So our members train to pull water from these hydrants as well as pumping from local ponds or lakes if needed. The other hydrants our located at the old Alcove store on 111 and the last 2 our located right at the Coeymans Hollow Fire Station. Members got to utilize our booster reel off the back of Rescue 6-10 who also was the water supply truck why others got to use the deck gun off the top of Enigne 6-20. Members learned to set up the draft as well as pumping truck to truck. 24/7/365 requirements to fulfill any emergency request whether in our District or helping neighboring departments. Drill Night with Ravena Fire Dept. Tonight, CHVFC was proud to team up with our brothers and sisters from Ravena Fire Department for our weekly drill night. Together, we focused on Ladder 26-70 and ladder operations, ensuring all members are confident and prepared for high-angle scenarios. We also trained with Tanker 6-30, sharpening our water supply tactics for large-scale fire incidents.
