The Society for Women of Letters Cultivating the Essential Feminine Voice in the Scholarly Christian Community and Supporting All Women in the Pursuit of a Robust Intellectual Life for the Glory of God MISSION The Society for Women of Letters began as a small group of women scholars with a shared vision for building camaraderie and elevating the feminine voice in the Christian intellectual community. For Scholars The SWL is intentionally designed to be a collective effort we welcome Christfollowing scholars who are active in humane disciplines such as literature philosophy history and theology. For Women In addition the society offers membership to all women who desire focused intellectual formation and fellowship with others who are seeking to glorify God through the life of the mind. For Christians The SWL is ecumenical yet orthodox we foster a mere Christian culture while defending essential and historic Christian doctrine.
