NESAR is a 501 (c)(3) Organization and was formed to provide search, rescue, recovery and educate safe boating practices and water safety awareness. New England Search and Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the successful search and rescue of the lost or injured in the New England area. Our volunteer members strive to respond quickly and are skilled in many aspects of search and rescue operations, especially communications, open water search, dive team and medical care. We have members that have served in search and rescue missions all over the New England area. Our Members are on-call 24/7. We play a vital role in public safety and work with first responders all over the New England area. We are the only team set up in the Rhode Island area qualified to perform Jet Ski SAR. We train new members life saving skills needed in SAR, such as CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration, Jet Ski/Boat Training, Base/Communication Training, Ground SAR, Diver Training, and Water SAR Training all at no cost to our members. NESAR will promote boating and water safety to the general public.
