The Tennessee Urban Forestry Council inspires and empowers people to sustain healthy urban forests The Tennessee Urban Forestry Council's official mission statement is "To promote healthy and sustainable urban and community forests in Tennessee". As a non-profit, created by the TN Dept of Agriculture, Division of Forestry in 1991, we have been working closely with this Division to achieve this mission. Our organization complements the mission of the Division of Forestry through our education efforts and community engagement endeavors.
