In early 2022 our founder Naser Baheer watched as his home country of Afghanistan plunged deeper into economic crisis. This in turn gave way to rising food insecurity among many already at risk families. Naser knew he wanted to be part of the solution so he reached out to Leigh Ladd a family friend he had met years earlier when his family immigrated to the United States. Naser and Leigh had worked together previously on other projects and he knew she would be interested in furthering their cause in a new and more impactful way.
