Fire Protection Service Fire Protection Service Welcome To Cold Water Fire Department About Us Cold Water Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1958 to serve the fire suppression needs of the rural Cold Water community. Community leaders embarked on a grass roots effort to secure land funding and materials to construct the new station. Through generous donations hours of volunteer work and homemade fire trucks Cold Water VFD was born. The department was initially located at the intersection of Gold Hill and Highway 73.
