The Houston County Band program serves over 300 students daily and includes four concert ensembles a jazz ensemble a percussion ensemble and a dedicated color guard class. The Black and Silver Brigade HCHSs marching unit includes two marching bands serving over 200 students. Bands at Houston County High School have consistently received Superior ratings at adjudicated events throughout the southeast in both the concert and marching areas including winning Grand Champion honors at the 2017 Sound of Gold Marching Invitational and the 2018 Coffee Marching Invitational.
