LVTRise

LVTRise is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing the Las Vegas Trail community in Fort Worth, Texas. The organization operates under the vision of transforming the lives of residents by providing essential resources and services.

History

The concept for LVTRise began taking shape following a series of town hall meetings held in the Las Vegas Trail area. In March 2018, a mobile food pantry unit was initiated as part of the Las Vegas Trail Revitalization Project. By April 2019, the project officially became a nonprofit organization known as LVTRise, Inc. This transition marked a significant step in its development.

Mission and Programs

LVTRise is focused on empowering community members through education, crime prevention, youth programs, and community engagement. It aims to improve school performance, housing stability, and public safety within the Las Vegas Trail community. The organization provides a range of services, including financial literacy, career development, counseling, educational classes, after-school programs, and meal assistance.

RISE Community Center

A central component of LVTRise is the RISE Community Center, which serves as a neighborhood hub for community activities and services. The center, located on a five-acre property with two buildings and recreational amenities, offers these services free of charge to residents. It relies on community partnerships and volunteer support to deliver its programs.

Financial Data

LVTRise relies heavily on contributions for its operations, with these donations making up a significant percentage of its total revenue. As of recent financial reports, the organization had notable assets while maintaining minimal liabilities.

Leadership and Governance

LVTRise is led by a diverse board of directors with backgrounds spanning finance, law, education, and community service. Key leadership includes Paige Charbonnet as Executive Director and Tori White as Board President. The board members bring extensive experience from various sectors, contributing to the organization's efforts to engage and support the community effectively.

Impact and Partnerships

LVTRise collaborates with private companies, human service organizations, and government agencies to achieve its objectives in education, public safety, social services, economic development, and health. This collaborative approach allows LVTRise to address multiple aspects of community improvement.
