SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MUNICIPAL ATHLETIC FEDERATION ("SCMAF") IS A NONPROFIT, CALIFORNIA CORPORATION FOUNDED IN 1959 TO CREATE HEALTHIER COMMUNITIES THROUGH SPORTS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES.SCMAF'S SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:1. PROVIDE EXTENSIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR TRAINING AND NETWORKING TO SCMAF MEMBERS AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AGENCIES.2. PROVIDE EDUCATION TO COMMUNITIES ON THE IMPORTANCE OF HEALTH, NUTRITION AND WELLNESS IN RECREATIONAL AND EVERYDAY ACTIVITIES.3. PLANNING, PROMOTING, ORGANIZING AND CONDUCTING CULMINATING RECREATION INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM SPORTS ACTIVITIES.4. DEVELOPING STANDARDS FOR RULES AND MANAGEMENT OF SPORTS PROGRAMS, ACTIVITIES AND FACILITIES.
