Although there is a specific chapter Moms Club Seattle NW with its own identity, the broader organization is known as MOMS Offering Moms Support. The MOMS Club was founded in 1985 by Mary James, a stay-at-home mother from California. James established the club to connect with other mothers in her area and provide social activities for both mothers and children. The initial success of this chapter led to the expansion of the MOMS Club across different regions.

Chapters must adhere to strict guidelines that prevent them from engaging in political fundraising or supporting political candidates.

Inclusivity and Controversies

The MOMS Club prides itself on being inclusive of all mothers, irrespective of race, religion, sexuality, ethnicity, or economic status. However, there have been instances of controversy, such as the refusal by the international organization to post an anti-racist message on its Facebook page, which led to some members and chapters leaving the organization.

Mother-To-Mother Fund

The organization offers a charitable arm known as the Mother-To-Mother Fund, which provides financial assistance to members facing severe financial emergencies or disasters. This fund is reliant on donations from members and supporters.
