Partners for Animal Welfare Society [Indiana.  We are the only non-profit animal welfare organization in the County dedicated to providing all of the following programs:  Humane Education Programs:  Our classroom education programs are designed to teach children kindness to and respect for all living things. We have a core curriculum of 20 different programs that we offer to elementary schools in Hancock County.  Our Humane Educators conduct approximately 300 one-hour programs every school year.  500 Hancock County elementary students each month of the school year, September through May.  KIND News helps teachers establish a classroom theme of kindness, respect and tolerance towards animals, the environment, and other people.Homeless Pets Programs:  Our foster pet program takes in hundreds of homeless cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, and other pets every year.  We care for those pets until our Matchmaker volunteers are able to find them new forever homes.  Our Matchmaker volunteers conduct off-site adoption events throughout the County 2-4 times each month.  We also provide volunteer and financial assistance to the Hancock County Animal Control Shelter.Low Cost Spay/Neuter Programs:  000 pounds of free pet food annually to individuals who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties and whose pets would otherwise go hungry.
