Stateline Literacy Council - Beloit, Inc. is a volunteer, non-profit United Way funded organization. Its mission is to help English and non-English speaking adults learn basic skills, especially reading, writing and speaking English through free instruction.SLC recognizes that modern society often requires a higher level of literacy than achieved through the council's basic instruction. Therefore, the Council seeks to cooperate with other agencies in the community to further the education of its students.
