We had a goid work day last Sunday and really appreciate the club members who came to help. We had some karts on track at the end of the day and That’s always cool!! We have our next work 2 practice this Saturday and Sunday. Work begins at 10am and for those who are there helping, practice will start about 2pm. Attn TKR Friends and Family. Today is Sunday April 6th. We would like to update everyone on what to expect today. Currently we have light precipitation that is mostly ice pellets. We have had a tremendous amount of rain and the ground is very soft. We do not want anyone parking on the grass. Chores that we are hoping to accomplish today are as follows. -Clean up the tower and hook computers up. -Install scoring antennas on the antenna bridge that spans the track. -Clean out the storage trailer and conex box. There are a lot of items that we are going to pitch to make room for the items that we need to take out of the trailer. -Cleaning up the grounds around the facility. Mostly leaves left from the fall. - Clear the edges of the track with weed eaters(if you have one bring it) so that it is ready to paint new lines. As far as getting karts on track today… it is not very realistic that we will be able to with the current conditions. If that changes then it is possible. As we get into the heart of our regular schedule it gets harder to accomplish things at the track. We all have busy lives and hope to see everyone soon. We will always do our best to make sure that all of our members have the best facility to enjoy at TKR. That being said it’s our people that set TKR apart from other tracks. (fb)
