The Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation is a local philanthropic nonprofit foundation. It is governed by a 12 member board of directors. As a conversion foundation, in 1984 the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation  was created as a public charity from the sale of Eisenhower Osteopathic Hospital, a nonprofit hospital.  In 2009 the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation became a private foundation. Its current mission is to improve the health and well-being of its community consistent with its Osteopathic heritage.

As such the Foundation is a private nonoperating foundation. The Foundations purpose is to improve the health and wellbeing of our community consistent with its Osteopathic heritage. It accomplishes this by awarding grants to qualified healthrelated nonprofit organizations in El Paso and Teller counties that meet its mission priorities by awarding scholarships to osteopathic medical students and collaborating with likeminded organizations to develop solutions to meet community health needs.
