SUPPORT FOR ACTIVELY RISING YOUTH
Support for Actively Rising Youth (SFARY) is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization with the mission to provide resources, opportunities and support for youth who reside in low income urban areas and attend under-resourced/under-performing schools. The core values are active learning, community engagement and personal resilience. Our flagship program is the Firefighter Youth Academy which provides opportunities for high school-aged youth to explore careers in the fire and emergency medical services as an emergency medical technician(EMT), firefighter, and/or paramedic while assisting their community to be better prepared for emergencies and disasters. A career pathway is provided to assist youth participants in securing employment in the fire and emergency medical services.
