Munhall Girls Softball Association

The Munhall Girls Softball Association (MGSA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing youth softball in the Mon Valley region. It serves communities including Munhall, West Mifflin, and Lincoln Place.

Programs and Activities

MGSA offers a range of programs and activities for young girls aged 4 to 15, providing opportunities for skill development and team participation throughout the year. These include:

  • Spring and Fall Programs: Year-round training and competition for youth athletes.
  • Summer All-Star Teams: Select teams participate in competitive tournaments during the summer.
  • Annual Fast Pitch for the Cure Breast Cancer Fundraiser: An annual event supporting breast cancer awareness and research.
  • Free Pitcher/Catcher Workouts and Winter Conditioning: Training sessions to enhance specific skills and maintain fitness during off-seasons.
  • Adult Co-Ed League: Opportunities for adults to participate in softball leagues, available in both spring and fall.
Facilities and Community Engagement

MGSA utilizes various facilities, including Woodhill Fields, which include both large and small playing fields and batting cages. These facilities support both league and community activities. MGSA also contributes to community engagement through its concession stand, renowned for offering fresh-cut fries at games.

Financial Assistance

The association supports its mission by raising funds to aid families who may struggle financially, ensuring that all eligible players can participate by covering costs such as registration, uniforms, and equipment. This commitment to inclusivity ensures that softball remains accessible to all young athletes within the community.

What I appreciate most about Eduo is its neutrality and inclusivity. It doesn't push any agenda — just provides tools for people to explore and support what matters to them.
