Welcome to the Association of State Criminal Investigative Agencies ASCIA website. ASCIA is a professional association consisting of the senior executives of the state wide criminal investigative agencies in the United States whether they are independent bureau within the state or a state police agency with both criminal and other enforcement responsibilities. ASCIA was initially incorporated as a nonprofit association in 1978 by eleven state criminal investigative agencys senior executives to discuss mutual concerns and areas of potential cooperative effort. Today that number of active member agencies covers almost every state in the United States.
