SILENCED BY STIGMA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting male survivors of sexual and domestic abuse by advocating for awareness of sexual violence, providing critical resources for victims and their loved ones, and development of prevention, educational, creative arts, and workshop programs to start the healing process. One in four men suffers sexual abuse in their lifetime, while one in seven is victimized by intimate partner violence. Men typically do not disclose their histories of sexual abuse for twenty to twenty-five years, are often disbelieved, shamed, and face profound obstacles while seeking assistance or justice. We’re here to change that.
