Art in Oregon Art in Oregon BLACK MATTER Exhibit at Chehalem Art Center 2021 Art in Oregon AiO is a statewide visual artsfocused organization whose mission is to foster culturally rich regional communities through partnerships advocacy and investment in artists businesses educational spaces and community spaces. We establish collaborative relationships with the common goal of increased visibility and access to art for all people. As a Blackled organization we are specifically interested in uplifting the voices of Oregons Black artists and centering the perspective of a Black artists in a wider cultural dialogue. Land Acknowledgement Art in Oregon acknowledges the land on which we gather as the occupied and unceded territories of the Multnomah Wasco Colwlitz Molalla Kalpuya Kathlamet Clackamas Chinook Tualatin and many other tribes who made their homes in and around presentday Portland and along the Columbia River.
