Ptolemy Memphis Party with a Purpose The mission of Ptolemy is to serve as a vehicle for a diverse range of people to enjoy Carnival Memphis and thereby uphold and perpetuate its traditions. Ptolemy strives to present an array of festive events during Carnival week and present community service opportunities throughout the year. Since our inception in 2000 weve raised the bar on fun as well as over 4. 5 million for local childrens charities through the Carnival Memphis Childrens Charity Initiative.
