This led to the creation of a three-team league in 1939, with the first game played on June 6, 1939, between the Lundy Lumber, Lycoming Dairy, and Jumbo Pretzel teams. Initially sponsored by local businesses for $30 each, the league aimed to provide a structured and wholesome environment for children to learn sportsmanship and teamwork.

These leagues are supported by District Administrators who oversee several leagues and report to Regional Directors.
