Conserving and caring for the Berkshire landscape - BNRC - BNRC

Preserving the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the Berkshires of Massachusetts, for public benefit and enjoyment BNRC aims to protect and preserve the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the Berkshires. Founded in 1967, Berkshire Natural Resources Council (BNRC) is a land conservation organization working to protect and preserve the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the Berkshires for public benefit and enjoyment. Since its founding, BNRC has directly conserved over 25,000 acres on 220 parcels in Berkshire County. BNRC also assists other state, municipal, local, indigenous, and nonprofit entities to conserve tens of thousands of additional acres in the region. Today, BNRC continues this tradition, while also attending to protection of wildlife habitat, support of farmers, the strengthening of local climate resilience, and providing free, welcoming public programs and access to the Berkshire outdoors to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
