Amache Alliance
The Amache Alliance mission is to preserve the WWII Japanese American Granada War Relocation Center site in Colorado, known as Amache. Educate about Amache's history and legacy, preserve survivors' stories, enhance the amache.org website, support maintenance of the Amache site and Museum maintained by John Hopper and his Granada High students, who are known as the Amache Preservation Society. An all-volunteer nonprofit is involved in the creation and establishment of the new Amache National Historic Site, manage by the National Park Service. We are also carrying on the legacy and vision of the original Nisei led Amache Historical Society who lived at Amache.

Preservation of Amaches stories artifacts and historic structures supports the interpretation and education mission. The alliance collaboratively works with other organizations to highlight the lessons of the Japanese American confinement and their relevance to the preservation of liberty and civil rights for all Americans today.
