YOUNG MEN UNITED OF JEFFERSON COUNTY IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION CREATED TO UNITE YOUNG MEN, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO NEED US MOST, BUILD STRONG CHARACTER AND REALIZED THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AS A RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN AND UPCOMING LEADER. YMU PROVIDES A SAFE HAVEN FILLED WITH HOPE AND OPPORTUNITY, ONGOING RELATIONSHIPS WITH CARING ADULTS OF THE COMMUNITY. PREPARE YOUNG MEN TO MAKE ETHICAL CHOICES DURING THEIR YOUTH BY INSTILLING SOME CORE VALUES WITHIN THEM. THE OVERALL MISSION OF YMU IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT OF YOUNG MEN IN JEFFERSON COUNTY TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES IN A POSITIVE MANNER, REDUCE ALTERCATIONS WITH OTHERS, PROMOTE EDUCATION, AND ASSIST WITH MAKING GOOD CHOICES.
