SCES' Colleen Morrissey, Chief External Affairs Officer, and Eliza Adams, Communications and Public Affairs Manager, headed to Washington, D.C. last week to attend USAging's annual policy briefing and advocate for critical programs that ensure older adults and people with disabilities can receive the support they need at home. Eliza and Colleen joined colleagues from aging services agencies across the state to meet with Senator Edward J. Markey and staff with the offices of U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, and Congresswoman Katherine Clark. We appreciate the time that these legislators and staff members took out of their schedules to meet with us and learn more about our work. We look forward to keeping up the advocacy efforts! If you would like to join SCES' advocacy network, please reach out to Eliza Adams at eliza.adams@eldercare.org or 857-997-8417. #advocacy #agingservices (fb)

We are thrilled to announce that SCES was recently awarded a $50,000 Safety Net Grant from The Boston Foundation! The grant will support general operations and agency programs. Grant funds will be disbursed across all agency programs—including protective services, information and referrals, home delivered meals, behavioral health, and care transitions initiatives—to best meet consumers’ needs.
