OPAL stands for 'Of People and Land' representing a commitment to protecting natural resources while also providing permanently affordable homes for people who are vital to the Orcas Island community. OPAL Community Land Trust is working to maintain the character, vibrancy and diversity of the Orcas Island community by acquiring land and creating permanently affordable homes. Our work helps bridge the gap between the island's increasingly high property values and the low incomes of many people who live and work here - people who are vital to our well-being and to our community's future.
