Great meeting last night at Westbrook Community Center. Altrusans brought in their donations for the "mac 'n cheese pyramid" for Locker Project which is growing every day. In addition, we were pleased to present proceeds from a recent silent auction to Don Morrison, Operations Manager at Wayside Food Programs. Wayside has been increasing access to nutritious food for our neighbors in Southern Maine since 1986. Wayside’s hunger relief efforts include: a food rescue program, weekly community meals, monthly mobile food pantries, plus other programs and partnerships. Prior to our meeting, our members were fortunate to be able to sample that night's community meal at the Community Center (every Wednesday!). It was declared DELICOUS!!
