Through research and education, to better understand the spatial and seasonal patterns and behaviour of whale sharks, as well as their abundance and distribution at a local, regional and global level; to promote the amplification of marine protected areas and raise global awareness of whale sharks as charismatic ambassadors for marine conservation.
