Mercy for Children is dedicated to providing hope love and mercy to the displaced and vulnerablechildren of Uganda who are reduced to crushing stones in the Kyoora Quarries to earn money to feed themselves and their families through transformational education and general welfare support. The nonprofit was started by Doug Miller to aid the children of the Kiyoora stone quarries in Southwestern Uganda. In 2019 Doug traveled to Uganda and met Twikyirize Mercy Asnath Mercy who had established a ministry for young women. In 2020 Mercy discovered the dire conditions in the Kiyoora stone quarries where children as young as three years old were laboring for .
