Garnet Preservation Association, Inc.

Faced with the deteriorating effects of Mother Nature in the wilds of the Montana Rocky Mountains, historic Garnet, Montana was headed for oblivion and degradation like so many other Montana ghost towns. The Garnet Preservation Association has worked since the mid 1980's to save the historic value of Garnet and educate the public about its history, with the cooperation of the Bureau of Land Management. The Garnet Preservation Association's mission is to stimulate educational activities and encourage research about the Garnet Historic District, and to inspire a greater interest in Montana History. We are dedicated to assisting the Bureau of Land Management with the management, preservation, and stabilization of Garnet Ghost Town.
