The organization's core mission is to give hope and bring awareness to the foster care system. It accomplishes this by collecting and distributing thousands of handmade cards every year. These cards are created by a diverse group of volunteers and then distributed to foster care agencies nationwide, free of charge.

Annual Card Drive

A major part of Cards for Cubs' efforts is its annual card drive. This event involves soliciting volunteers to create handmade cards, which are then collected and distributed to foster care organizations. Over the past few years, the organization has collected over 100,000 cards.

Cards for Cubs collaborates with foster care agencies to ensure that the handmade cards reach children in need. As of the most recent data available, the organization has shipped over 210,000 cards, involving more than 3,874 card makers and 440 foster agencies across the U.S.

In addition to creating handmade cards, individuals can support Cards for Cubs by volunteering or sponsoring card distribution.
