Many have received awards and recognitions by competitions such as Laffont Metropolitan Opera Competition and Opera Buffs as well as participated in productions with local companies including LA Opera Connects and Los Angeles Opera Chorus. 2700 in Total Prize Money RANDY MELSON SCHOLARSHIP FUND ARTS EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN Bringing the magic of opera to students Since 1949 Guild Opera Company has introduced more than four million children to the magical world of opera. With the generous support of individual music lovers as well as funding from corporations foundations and government sources we help students from kindergarten through grade 6 experience and engage with the one artform that encompasses music theater dance and visual arts opera.
