The Tunstall Foundation is committed to creating and advancing educational and economic opportunities for people of the African Diaspora worldwide. We are committed to Black liberation using the tools of education and economics. Our marquee program, Black Birthright, provides Black American high schoolers an education in African Diaspora history, culture, psychology, philosophy and economics. Upon completing the educational programming, Black Birthright Scholars travel to Africa for immersive learning. We also invest in education on the African Continent. We provide capital to develop school buildings in communities of need. We began this work before the Foundation was formally established and we’ve built six schools in seven years (Senegal - 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023; Malawi - 2019, 2020).
