TO PROMOTE INTEREST IN THE HISTORY OF MEDICINE, SUPPORTS AND ASSISTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND PERPETUATION OF THE RARE BOOK AND HISTORY OF MEDICINE COLLECTION WHICH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY MEDICAL ASSOCIATION HAS PLACED ON PERMANENT DEPOSIT AT THE HUNTINGTON LIBRARY, ART MUSEUM, AND BOTANICAL GARDENS IN SAN MARINO, CALIFORNIA, AND TO RAISE FUNDS TO ACCOMPLISH THESE PURPOSES.
